As many of our clients during their conferences in the months of September and October hold special events at wineries or like a wine themed event, Honeywell Events has created a special "menu" of wine specific team building events. 

Below you can get a taste of one of these wine and grape themed events by day, which can be organised as one activity or in conjunction with another activity such as, a Jeep Safari adventure. 

Length: Min. 5 Hours (subject to the group size and the winery location).
Capacity: 20 – 200 people.
Teams: Guests divided into teams of five – ten (subject to the group size).

Wine Contest Round Includes:

1. Grape picking by hand: Includes hand grape picking for all the members of each team, within a specific time frame.

2. Wine making: The teams are transferred from the vineyards to the winery, by old Bedford buses. At the winery, each team must crush their own hand-picked grapes, which are poured into half-barrels or special vats for stomping. Half of the team at a  time (about 5 minutes per half team) steps into the barrel or vat in bare feet and squeezes the grapes. One of the members of each team, stands below the barrel or vat and concentrates the juice in a glass bottle, making sure that the juice flows freely. While the teams are crushing the grapes, professional dancers will perform some folkloric dances and will cheer on the teams. The team with the maximum quantity of juice squeezed, as measured by the event coordinator, wins!

3. “Pictionary” Team Name and Label Making Contest: Each team creates a wine name and draws a label to go along with it. Based on the drawing, the other teams have to guess the name that is on the label.

4. Blind Fold Wine Tasting Competition: During this activity, the members of each team will be invited to taste and describe the wines blindfolded, like a sommelier. Each member is unique and possesses different sensitivities, when it comes to tasting and smelling skills. That is why teamwork for this activity is essential.

Winning Team & Prizes: The team with the highest score (judged by Winery staff) across all rounds, wins! Each guest of the winning team will receive a trophy and a wine from the winery to take home.

10.00 hrs - Guests arrive at the vineyards.
10.00-10.30 hrs - Meet & Greet with traditional Antipasti & Open Bar with local wines.
10.30 – 10.45 hrs – Briefing by the Event Manager
11.00 – 13.30 hrs - Wine Games.
After lunch - Award Ceremony.
